Milwaukee Vegan Week September 2025

Milwaukee Vegan Week

Dead Bird Brewing: Milwaukee’s Plant-Powered Pint
36 Restaurants partake in Milwaukee Vegan Week. In a city celebrated for its traditional beer and comfort food, Dead Bird Brewing stands out by pairing craft beer with a 100% entirely vegan food menu. This unique spot featured during Doors Open Milwaukee provides a welcoming, lively atmosphere with arcade games and a dog-friendly patio, making it a beloved gathering place that champions inclusivity, not just for beer lovers but for plant-based diners as well.

The menu is a celebration of veganized bar food classics, moving far beyond simple salads. Popular items frequently praised in Google Reviews and on other platforms include their vegan nachos, which are described as being “out of this world,” and the hearty soft pretzels served with house-made queso. Their innovative Neapolitan-style pizzas, like the “Spartachokey” or the “Big Sexy dill,” utilize house-made vegan mozzarella, showcasing a commitment to delicious, satisfying alternatives. Reviewers often appreciate how the food, featuring local vegan chicken and TVP beef, appeals to both vegans and omnivores alike.

Dead Bird’s role as a staple in the community was further cemented by its participation in the inaugural 2025 Milwaukee Vegan Restaurant Week. As one of the featured breweries and restaurants, Dead Bird was able to spotlight its robust offerings during the city-wide event held in November, coinciding with World Vegan Month. Their involvement, alongside other local eateries, demonstrated the strength and diversity of the Milwaukee vegan food scene.

More than just a brewery, Dead Bird has successfully carved out a niche as an eco-minded establishment where great beer, a fun environment, and stellar, creative vegan comfort food come together.
